    A to Z Building Blocks Early Care & Education is hiring a dependable, detail-oriented Painter / Maintenance Helper to help keep our child care centers clean, functional, and welcoming for children, families, and staff.

    About A to Z Building Blocks

    A to Z Building Blocks provides early care and education for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our maintenance team plays an important role in keeping our buildings safe, clean, and running smoothly for our classrooms and families.

    Pay & Benefits

    $17.00 per hour

    Mileage reimbursement for approved travel between A to Z Building Blocks locations

    Flexible evening and weekend schedule

    Schedule

    Approximately 15 hours per week

    Work is completed after center closing (6:30 p.m.) on weekdays or on weekends

    Flexible schedule coordinated based on project and maintenance needs

    Travel Requirements This position requires travel between our child care centers located in:

    Eagle Mountain

    American Fork

    Orem

    Spanish Fork

    Applicants must have:

    A reliable personal vehicle

    A valid driver's license

    A clean driving record

    Willingness to travel between locations as needed

    Mileage is reimbursed for approved travel between company locations.

    Physical Requirements

    Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

    Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods

    Must be able to safely use ladders and painting equipment

    Must be able to move safely throughout each facility

    Responsibilities

    Complete interior and exterior touch-up painting projects

    Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching, caulking, and cleaning before painting

    Perform basic handyman and small maintenance repairs

    Complete miscellaneous maintenance and odd jobs as assigned

    Respond to maintenance requests from center leadership

    Maintain a clean and organized work area

    Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly

    Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns

    Complete projects efficiently with attention to detail

    Communicate professionally with directors and team members

    Document completed work and provide project updates as needed

    Qualifications

    Previous painting, handyman, construction, or general maintenance experience preferred

    Basic knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and minor repairs

    Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

    Dependable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work

    Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and detail

    Ability to prioritize projects across multiple locations

    Must be 21 years of age

    Must pass all required background clearances

    Current valid driver's license

    Reliable personal vehicle

    Willingness to travel between A to Z Building Blocks locations
