Warren Wilson College is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-time Strength and Conditioning Coach to support the development and performance of our student-athletes across all sports. This role is essential in enhancing athletic performance, reducing the risk of injury, and promoting lifelong fitness and movement skills.
The Part-time Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for developing and overseeing strength and conditioning programs for all sports. This includes designing training plans based on sound scientific principles, supervising and instructing athletes during training sessions, evaluating athletic performance, maintaining accurate records, and leading strength and conditioning sessions. The coach will work closely with athletic training staff and sport coaches to identify and address the specific needs of each team and individual athlete.
In addition to training responsibilities, the Part-time Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for maintaining the strength and conditioning facility, ensuring it is clean, safe, and well-equipped. The coach will also uphold and enforce policies and procedures that ensure the safe and professional operation of the facility.
This is a 10-month, part-time, exempt position running approximately from mid-August through mid-May, with two months off typically scheduled during June and July. The standard work schedule is primarily between 3:00–8:00 PM, with early morning hours occasionally required to support athletic programming. Evening and weekend hours may be necessary on an as-needed basis to support athletic teams and events.
