About the Role:

Veritas Environmental Services LLC is looking for a motivated and dependable Maintenance Assistant to join our growing team in Winston Salem, NC! This is an exciting opportunity to start part-time with the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate. Responsibilities:

Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of facilities and equipment

Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient operations

Support senior maintenance staff with day-to-day service requests and work orders

Inspect equipment, tools, and work areas to identify and report potential issues

Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage spaces

Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company procedures

Assist with grounds maintenance and general facility upkeep as needed

Requirements:

Prior experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related hands-on trade preferred

Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and general repair techniques

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude

Valid driver's license preferred

Willingness to grow into a full-time role and take on additional responsibilities
