    Partners In Care is seeking a Payroll and Billing Specialist to join our team. This position will support our Payroll Department in processing payroll and reporting. In addition, this role will assist with insurance billing, authorizations, and collections.

    Compensation: $22.61-$36.13 (DOE).

    Location: Bend, Oregon.

    Schedule: Full-time, Monday- Friday, 8 am-5 pm.

    What You Get to Do:

    Sets up all new employees and orients them to timekeeping, work breaks, payroll processes, and policies.

    Coordinates timekeeping approval with supervisors and employees.

    Runs payroll reports from EHR (Electronic Health Record.

    Audits payroll via the Data Entry Audit Report, Earnings Register, Deduction Register, Employer’s Expense Summary Report, and Pre-Check Registers.

    Administers and manages fuel card program.

    Processes final paychecks and offboards terminating employees in EHR and accounting software.

    Verified insurance and obtained authorizations for all Palliative Care and Flu Clinic patients.

    Monitors aged accounts receivables for the above and identifies claims that are not being paid in a timely manner.

    Posts all payments, adjustments, and write-offs for the Palliative Care program and for other programs as needed.

    Utilizes the EHR and payer portals to identify, correct, and resubmit incorrect claims.

    Supports Billing staff in submitting Notices of Admissions (NOA), processing claims and accounts receivable, fixing claim errors, and working with the insurance payers as needed.

    Cross trains with Insurance Authorization position to ensure all Insurance is verified and authorizations are carried out during absences.

    Performs other specific projects relating to insurance collections, billing, data entry, and cash postings as required.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

    High School Diploma or GED

    Minimum two (2) years experience in billing and payroll.

    College-level work in accounting or bookkeeping or equivalent experience.

    Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.

    Ability to pass a background test, drug screen, and TB test.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
