    The Parts Microenterprise is seeking a highly motivated first year college student to be involved in interesting work rotations involving Fulfillment, Material Planning, Sourcing, and Warehousing. This three-and-a-half-year entry-level rotation experience will enable students the opportunity to enhance their skills in analytics, inventory management, supplier relationship building, time management, negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and LEAN principles through hands-on projects to jumpstart their careers. Rotational assignments will be located at Appliance Park in Louisville, KY, with occasional travel to a Parts Warehouse in Jeffersonville, IN.

    HOW YOU'LL CREATE POSSIBILITIES

    • Students will be provided with at least three or four rotations yearly.

    • Assignments vary across various supply chain functions of the Parts Microenterprise.

    Rotation 1: Material Planner

    • Manage 15 supplier accounts to ensure parts meet proper inventory levels

    • Interact with the suppliers (national & international), GEA sourcing, and transportation teams to identify action plans to expedite orders

    • Review current on-hand inventory for suppliers.

    • Other experiences may include: fulfillment planning, service parts management, inventory analysis.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO OUR TEAM

    • Must be a first-year college student (18 years or older) currently enrolled in a college or university undergraduate program in Louisville, KY

    • Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and 95% attendance rate at both school and work at GEA

    • Ability to work flexible hours 24/week, school schedule dependent

    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    • Ability to solve problems and multi-task.

    • Self-starter, goal-oriented, strong time management skills

    • A Customer Service mindset

    • Excellent communicator - in written, oral, and visual formats

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

    • Some travel may be required to a Parts Warehouse (location - Jeffersonville, IN)
