Mayo Garden Centers is looking for a full-time parts salesperson/service writer with some repair and mechanical knowledge of small engine power equipment. Mayo Garden Centers is a locally owned garden center that sells a wide variety of lawn and garden equipment and gas grills and generators. This position will greet and assist customers who need to purchase replacement and repair parts for their equipment. Applicants must be mechanically inclined and have a desire to learn about the product lines sold by Mayo’s. Computer experience is also required. Applicant will also manage our on line sales of parts. This is a full time hourly position. This is an hourly position plus commission on all on line sales. Applicants must be able to demonstrate ability and knowledge required for this position.

Job Requirements:

-Applicants must have 1 year of parts or service writer experience

-Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers as to the repairs needed and know the parts needed for the repair

-Must be friendly and be able to work well with co-workers and customers

-Must be able to work independently without supervision

-Must be able to lift, push or pull a minimum of 30 lbs and be able to repetitively lift, bend, carry, and push equipment

-Applicants must have a valid driver’s license
