    Paso Robles Veterinary Medical Clinic is looking for an Associate DVM to join our team!

    We are a full-service animal hospital dedicated to providing the best veterinary care for pets in the Paso Robles, CA community. Due to growing demand, we are expanding our hours and hiring an Associate DVM to join our compassionate, experienced team. We are seeking an experienced veterinarian who is available to work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to help cover our new expanded hours of operation.

    Core Responsibilities & Requirements

    • Supports excellence in client experience
    • Works collaboratively with HM and Medical Director
    • Practices high quality, gold standard medicine
    • Examine, diagnose, and treat animals brought into the veterinary clinic/hospital for medical care
    • Perform surgical procedures as needed, including routine spay/neuter operations as well as more complex surgeries
    • Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and preventative care plans
    • Counsel pet owners on animal health, nutrition, behavior, and overall wellbeing
    • Interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, blood work, etc. and develop treatment plans
    • Maintain comprehensive patient medical records and documentation
    • Assist in emergencies and provide urgent/critical care when needed
    • Mentor and oversee veterinary technicians and support staff
    • Stay up-to-date on new veterinary techniques, medications, and best practices

    Competencies And Experience

    • Valid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of CA
    • 2+ years of clinical experience
    • Strong clinical skills and sound medical judgment
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Time-management and delegation abilities
    • Exercises sound judgement and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skills
    • Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with others
