Senior Accountant
Growing, privately held manufacturer is seeking a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will work closely with and report to the Sr. Controller. Previous experience in a manufacturing and operations environment is required. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
· Responsible for month end close process and preparation of accounting entries related to cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable and general accruals
· Reconcile all balance sheet and key income statement accounts on monthly basis
· Manage general ledger and analyze account activity
· Responsible for bank reconciliations and various treasury functions including daily cash flow management
· Supervise accounts payable process and accounts receivable billing process
· Responsible for employee payroll and benefit plan accounting
· Responsible for all fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure management including monthly depreciation
· Tax compliance support for various federal, state and local filings (sales and use, property tax, etc)
· Participate in annual budget and interim forecasting processes
· Support the Sr. Controller in developing and tracking KPIs
· Work on various accounting projects as requested

Candidates are required to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. This position does require candidates to be flexible with their work requirement and the ability to handle big picture projects while troubleshooting accounting analysis.
REQUIREMENTS for the Senior Accountant:
1. A bachelor’s degree, ideally in accounting or finance, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
2. Experience working in a manufacturing environment
3. Familiar with US GAAP
4. Strong MS Excel skills
5. Ability to use ERP system and post/record journal entries
6. Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member, detail oriented, good communication skills
7. Must be located in Greater Los Angeles
Preferred but NOT required:
1. Public accounting experience
2. Experience using Sage X3
