Job Summary
Pasta Cooks at The Americano, a Modern Italian Steakhouse, are responsible for crafting fresh pasta from scratch and executing pasta dishes with precision, consistency, and pride. This role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and an understanding of classic and modern Italian pasta techniques. We provide the tools and systems — we’re looking for cooks who bring the skill, discipline, and passion. Key Responsibilities
Prepare fresh pasta doughs and shapes from scratch using house recipes and professional equipment.
Execute pasta dishes during service with accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
Maintain proper cooking techniques for various pasta styles, including timing, seasoning, and texture.
Work closely with chefs to ensure sauces, garnishes, and pasta components are executed to standard.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and station readiness throughout service.
Assist with daily prep, inventory, and breakdown of the pasta station.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards.
Communicate clearly with Expo and BOH teammates to support smooth service flow.
Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience as a Pasta Cook or Line Cook in a professional kitchen preferred.
Strong knowledge of fresh pasta production and Italian cooking fundamentals.
Ability to work clean, organized, and focused in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail with a commitment to consistency and quality.
Willingness to learn, grow, and take feedback in a chef-driven kitchen.
Must have or obtain a valid Arizona Food Handlers Card.
Scheduling & Physical Requirements
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
