The Pastry Cook will bake various desserts, breads and pastries in the restaurant kitchen. The Pastry Cook will develop and follow recipes to create baked goods, develop new recipes to feature on the menu, and assist in keeping stock of the kitchen's inventory. The Pastry Cook will maintain a positive “win-win” attitude; always work to improve the restaurant; and be supportive of decisions made by the management team.
Responsibilities
Ensure guest satisfaction through high-quality food standards
Operate and manage the pastry section of the kitchen, working with other chefs
Prepare a variety of attractive and appetizing baked goods
Assist the Back of House management team in various aspects of the kitchen, including ordering, inventorying, equipment needs, etc.
Maintain high standards in all areas of safety, security and sanitation, including preventative maintenance, cleaning and repairs of equipment
Qualifications
At least one year of restaurant kitchen experience in a high-volume setting
Knowledge of and adherence to health department regulations and food handling and storage rocedures
Technical and natural baking abilities
Flexible work availability
Pay: Based on experience
