The Pastry Cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods and desserts in accordance with Frosty Jack’s standards. This includes doughs, fillings, glazes, and finished pastries. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of baking techniques, attention to detail, and a creative flair for presentation.
Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, cookies, tarts, and specialty desserts.
Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
Assist in the development of new dessert items and seasonal menu features.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen.
Monitor inventory and report supply needs to management.
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
Proven experience as a pastry cook, baker, or in a similar role (minimum 1 year preferred).
Culinary degree or pastry certification is a plus.
Strong understanding of baking techniques, measurements, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Creativity and a keen eye for detail and presentation.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
