    Position Overview

    Aiona is seeking detail-oriented, reliable Pastry Prep Cooks to join our opening pastry and culinary team. This role supports the Pastry Chef and culinary leadership through consistent, high-quality preparation of desserts, baked goods, and pastry components.

    Pastry Prep Cooks play a critical role in ensuring precision, organization, and readiness for service while upholding Aiona’s standards of quality and presentation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Prepare pastry and dessert components according to recipes and specifications

    Assist with baking, assembling, and portioning desserts and plated components

    Measure, weigh, and scale ingredients accurately

    Support production of doughs, batters, creams, fillings, and garnishes

    Maintain clean, organized pastry prep stations and storage areas

    Properly label, date, and store products following FIFO standards

    Assist with receiving and storing pastry ingredients and supplies

    Support service and production needs as directed by pastry leadership

    Complete opening, prep, and side work duties efficiently

    Uphold Aiona’s pastry quality and presentation standards

    Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines

    Communicate clearly and respectfully with pastry chefs and kitchen teammates

    Maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude

    Qualifications

    Previous pastry or kitchen prep experience preferred, but not required

    Basic baking knowledge and strong attention to detail

    Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely

    Strong organizational skills and time management

    Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

    Availability for early morning, daytime, weekend, and holiday shifts
