    Reports to: Executive Pastry Sous Chef

    Classification: Salaried, Exempt

    Job Summary : Assist the pastry team in creating high-quality desserts and baked goods.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and inspire the pastry team in creating exquisite desserts, pastries, and breads that reflect our commitment to excellence.
    • Support Executive Pastry Chef on daily operations and collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to design seasonal menus that align with the resort’s luxury dining experience.
    • Ensure consistency in presentation, flavor profiles, and quality, maintaining a seamless guest experience across all dining outlets.
    • Train, mentor, and develop pastry team members, fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
    • Uphold best practices in kitchen operations, including sanitation, food safety, and inventory management.
    • Work closely with other culinary and front-of-house teams to enhance guest satisfaction and exceed expectations.
    • Prepare doughs, batters, and other pastry items.
    • Assist with plating and presentation of desserts.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 4 years of pastry experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a fine dining environment.
    • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a commitment to maintaining the highest culinary standards.
    • Culinary degree or professional training preferred.
    • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
    • Familiarity with property (e.g., Boonfly, FARM, Hilltop).
    • Team player mentality and a commitment to maintaining the resort’s high standards.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
    • Ability to navigate the resort’s expansive property as applicable
