Job Description
Well-run boutique patent and trademark law firm is seeking a seeking a candidate with experience in IP (specifically patent) who can work a hybrid schedule in their Arlington VA office. Familiarity with processing and managing maintenance fees and annuities is preferred.
Fully remote but need to available to come in the office for training and occasionally for meetings. Need to live in Washington, DC area.
Pays up to $80K.
A perk for the job is that you will be trained in foreign filing.
Maintenance Fee / Annuity Specialist Job Description
Handle processing of US Maintenance Fees and foreign annuities, including:
Send letters to Clients requesting instruction regarding payment of maintenance fees / annuities utilizing annuity service provider
Act on Client instruction regarding payment / non-payment of fees
Process invoices and forwarding payment receipts
Provide reports to client regarding maintenance fees / annuities
Maintain and update docket related to maintenance fees / annuities
Verify / correct data as needed in docketing database
Job Requirements:
-Patent experience including maintenance fees and annuities.
-Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
-Able to work independently (backup will be provided by others in the department, when needed).
-Able to interact professionally with clients, and attorneys, and annuity service provider.
