Role

As a Manufacturing Equipment Specialist (also known as Equipment Engineer, Mechanical Engineer), you'll be responsible for supporting a fleet of automated production equipment. This includes rapid responses to real-time issues and the development of long-term solutions in collaboration with maintenance and operations staff. You'll fabricate, modify, and assemble mechanical and electrical components, create and modify mechanical CAD models and drawings, and work closely with engineers and production operators to ensure equipment operates reliably and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or similar field preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a machinist, welder, mechanic, equipment engineer, or similar role.
• Experience with design, assembly and/or maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment strongly preferred.
• Proficient in manual machining skills, mechanical assembly skills, and CAD software.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, PLC systems, and statistical process control concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, and create and modify mechanical drawings, models, and assemblies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
