    Machinist (CNC) Under general supervision, sets up and operates vertical machining centers, lathes, mills, and other similar special machines. Forming, drilling, tapping, reaming, chamfering, cutting, and other operations are carried out, with various inspection methods used to ensure product quality.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Set up and run numerically controlled computerized lathes, mills, drills, bores, and grinders.
    • Ascertain if the product fulfills IMI quality criteria.
    • Ensure that productivity is maintained at 100% or higher through correct set-ups and machine operation to reduce department costs while maintaining schedule integrity.
    • Ensure quality components while reducing scrap and rework by using accurate measurement devices and visual or mechanical inspection parts, as well as precise and effective chart and record keeping.
    • Recognize potential issues with products or processes in order to maintain IMI quality requirements.
    • Maintain a positive team environment by communicating effectively and showing respect for coworkers.
    • Ensure that paperwork is accurate, tidy, and legible, reducing department costs by eliminating tracking and error repair.
    • Maintain a neat and orderly workstation while adhering to all safety and housekeeping regulations.
    • To avoid time-consuming and costly errors, keep simple records, datasheets, work orders, and time cards precise.
    • Maintain and improve work skills to allow for departmental flexibility.
    • Adjust and troubleshoot, as well as perform new work set-ups.
    • New machinists should be trained.

    Requirements

    • High School Diploma

    • Advanced math skills

    • Blueprint reading skills

    • 3+ years of experience as a machinist

    • Knowledge of advanced measuring equipment

    • Ability to set up and operate CNC manufacturing equipment

    • Manual Machining Skills
    • Quality Inspection Experience
    • Programming Machine Vision Systems
    • Machine Safety Inspections
    • Troubleshooting CNC Machines

    Salary info:

    $23 - $30 / hr
