Role

As a Buyer (also known as Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Agent), you'll prepare accurate solicitations, evaluate bids, negotiate terms with suppliers, and manage vendor approval processes. You'll also coordinate communications between internal stakeholders and suppliers, manage open invoice issues, and track order statuses to support business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Commodity experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with Government Purchasing regulations FARS and DFARS.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance, if required.
