Role

As a Production Equipment Technician (also known as Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Production Mechanic), you'll set up and operate production equipment, troubleshoot and repair machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and make approved modifications to equipment. You'll also document changes, perform major mechanical overhauls, and provide coverage for other mechanics as needed, all while adhering to safety procedures and good manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment (food industry preferred).
• Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and health & safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work shift work (days, afternoons, nights).
• Experience with PLC Troubleshooting, creating Preventive Maintenance Plans, Mechanical Troubleshooting, and Hydraulics.
• Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management software is an asset.
