Role

As an Industrial Machine Technician (also known as Equipment Maintenance Specialist, Machine Repair Technician), you will service, support, and maintain industrial machine equipment. Your responsibilities will include performing preventative maintenance and repair tasks, troubleshooting, installations, and reading and interpreting blueprints and tool drawings. You will work on various equipment such as hydraulic, pneumatics, lubrication, spindle, gear head, hydrostatic systems, CNCs, ballscrews, ways, transmissions, conveyors, gantries, etc. You will also provide active training and mentorship for apprentices in the Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a relevant trade field or successful completion of an approved 4-year, 8000 hours on-the-job training apprenticeship program with the related course of study, plus 1 year working in the pertinent Trade Field.
• 2-year Technical Degree in the related field (Machine Repair, Electrical or Tool Design), plus 3 years’ experience working in the field of this particular Skilled Trade.
• Proficiency in machine setups for production runs, blueprint reading, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
