  • Responsibilities

    Role

    As a Machinist (also known as Equipment Technician, Production Machine Operator), you'll be tasked with creating new components and repairing existing ones for manufacturing operations. Your role will involve running multiple pieces of equipment to produce parts according to specifications, performing a variety of set-ups for standard and prototype machining jobs, and ensuring the repair and machining of new and spare production parts. You'll also be responsible for inspecting incoming parts, maintaining an inventory of consumable items, and reporting manufacturing problems.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED; Additional experience, training or formal education is beneficial.
    • Proficiency in operating common machining equipment, such as mills, lathes, grinders, etc.
    • Experience in the welding industry (Stick & TIG) is a plus; knowledge of welding is preferred.
    • Must have basic computer skills and the ability to read, write, and understand written specifications and procedures.
    • Excellent mechanical aptitude and the ability to use various measuring devices (tape measure, micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators etc.)
    • Must possess good organizational and communication skills, be a self-starter, and have above average hand dexterity.
