  • Responsibilities
    
    As a Construction Equipment Technician (also known as Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Equipment Repair Specialist), your primary responsibility will be to diagnose repair needs and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned machines. This includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines, preventive maintenance, and general machine upkeep. You'll also use diagnostic tools, gauges, and instruments for all machine systems, and occasionally operate machines to determine repair needs.

     **Qualifications**
    
      * High school education or GED equivalent required. Technical, vocational, trade school education or equivalent is also required.
      * Two to five years' experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment, with knowledge and experience in heavy equipment, mining equipment, systems, engines and components.
      * Proficiency with computers and aspects of Microsoft Office, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.
