    Job Specifications

    • Basic math skills
    • Proficiency in reading and writing
    • Basic understanding of measuring/inspection equipment i.e. micrometers, calipers, indicators etc.
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

    This position is accountable for the overall quality of product manufactured here at Cast Products. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Inspect assigned material per CPI Control Plan and identify conforming and non-conforming material
    • Complete First-Piece Inspection
    • Prepare all quality documents such as Control Charts, Inspection Reports and SPC charts as well as in-process inspection records.
    • Enter inspection data into the database and document results by completing necessary reports and log
    • Provide quality instructions to machine operators
    • Ensure that measuring equipment is clean, secure, calibrated and properly stored
    • Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests and communicating required adjustments to Production Supervisor
    • Report quality concerns to Quality Manager and or Sr. Quality Technician/Supervisor
    • Accept/reject production material
    • Stop production when non-conformity has been detected
