We are a 90 year old manufacturing company - a recognized leader in our industry - currently looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position is responsible for working with and building relationships with our customers, sales team, production and shipping.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Principal customer contact serving as liaison between customers, sales, production, and shipping
- Participates in team environment, ensuring proper service to customers at all times
- Maintains constant communication via phone calls, e-mail, internet, and fax with all parties both internally and externally
- Coordinates customer requirements to include:
- Quote processing - Timely and accurately creating product quotes for the department
- Order entry - Accurately enter orders based on customer specifications
- Inventory Management - Review and update customer profiles, product usage reports, and customer inventories
- Production Scheduling - Work with Scheduling to establish order due dates
- Conducting follow up contact with customers as necessary
- Expediting customer orders with production and delivery schedules
- Ability to troubleshoot unexpected problems by coordinating efforts among all related departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction
- Utilizes IT systems proficiently as well as office productivity software
- Display basic understanding of plant process/product flow and impact on customer requests.
- Maintain core products knowledge
- Maintain customer relationships through periodic customer visits and company functions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum two year college degree is preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered
- 2-3 years of previous experience in a Customer Service position within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to manage a large work load with various distractions
- Must have a high sense of urgency while managing multiple projects
- Candidate must have a general inquisitiveness, strong desire to learn, and high problem solving aptitude
- Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills, excellent customer relation skills, and well-developed presentation skills.
SCHEDULE: Work hours are typically 8:00am to 4:45pm
SALARY: $45,000 - $50,000, depending on experience.
