Role

As a Machinist (also known as CNC Machinist, Machine Operator), you'll program geometrically complex parts at various machining centers, analyze drawings, models, and sketches to determine machine operations, and select proper tooling. You'll also mentor junior machinists and work closely with the inspection lab, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of metrology and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints accurately.
• Understanding of basic arithmetic and trigonometry.
• Proficiency in GD&T, G-Code, M-Code, machine setups for production runs, manual machining skills, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience with CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) and CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Haas).
• High level of organization and self-discipline.
• Experience working in a high mix, low volume machine shop focused on the aerospace and defense industries is preferred.
