What you do: TheControls Technicianwill be capable of calmly and promptly responding to troubleshooting and service needs with a willingness to share your extensive knowledge of electrical and control systems with a positive attitude and problem-solving mentality.TheControls Technicianwill:- Be capable of building rapport among management, maintenance, and production team members to quickly address and correct root causes of control system and electrical issues.
- Work hours other than regular schedule such as days, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and rotating shifts.
- Be energetic and able to stay on the production floor for hours.
- Be able to proficiently utilize laptop computers, multimeters, instrumentation, and calibration equipment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Keep others informed about what has done, what needs to be done, and your plan to complete the task.
- Make new or modify existing schematics and P&IDs once the job is done.
- Continuous Improvement of automation processes and equipment utilization and downtime reduction
- Work independently on smaller projects from conception to completion. This work will include "hands-on" type projects and more.
What you need: - Proficiency in MS Office.
- Proficient with programming in Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5, and FactoryTalk View ME programming software. Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart, and Structured Text a plus.
- Experience with Allen Bradley servo motion and VFD control.
- Experience with robotic systems such as FANUC, Yaskawa, and ABB.
- Experience with industrial instruments and signals such as 4-20 mA, Voltage, TC, and RTDs.
- Familiar with the troubleshooting, commissioning, and use of field bus technologies such as Ethernet IP, DeviceNet, RS232, and DH+.
- Familiar with other control platforms such as Siemens, and Omron.
