    Role

    As an Electrical/Electronic Systems Technician (also known as Machine Controls Developer, Automation Systems Specialist), you'll develop, build, and maintain machine controls, instrumentation, heating and automation systems. You'll troubleshoot and repair systems for various equipment, including centerless grinders, cutoff equipment, super finishing machines, furnaces, and sorting equipment. You'll also work with various controllers and monitor/modify/create PLC/HMI programs for internal use.

    Qualifications

    • Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and technical training, along with a minimum of 3 years experience in 3 – phase power, low level, TTL, and CMOS circuitry, industrial setup and installation.
    • Experience in printed circuit board diagnosis and repair, interfacing and programming industrial controllers and PC computers, programming with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and GE Fanuc, high frequency power supply and controls troubleshooting, servo motor drives and controls, and control panel design and building.
    • Strong communication, organization, and procedural skills, good computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, and physical ability to stand for long periods, walk long distances, climb ladders and stairways, stoop, bend, sit, and lift heavy objects.
