    Role

    As a Shop Service Technician (also known as Maintenance Technician, Service Engineer), you'll perform maintenance and repairs on rail car movers, including competitor and customer machines. You'll also work on total rebuilds of legacy machines, integrating today's technology. Your tasks can range from simple oil changes to complete powertrain replacements, all within a shop environment.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Mechanical experience is required; technical school experience is preferred.
    • Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems; ability to read and interpret related schematics.
    • Working knowledge of diesel engines, heavy-duty axles (planetary), air compressors, pumps.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask.
    • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, creating preventive maintenance plans, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial automation equipment.
