  • Responsibilities

    Role

    As a Diesel Mechanic (also known as Fleet Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic), you'll perform tractor and trailer repairs, maintain vehicles in accordance with industry standards, run diagnostics, and collaborate with the team to meet company goals. Your responsibilities will include air brake service and maintenance, preventative maintenance tasks, diagnostic tests, and maintaining accurate records of each repair.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent, with 3+ years of hands-on experience with diesel engines and hydraulics.
    • Experience with the latest electronically controlled machinery and heavy equipment.
    • Proficiency in manual machining skills, blueprint reading, quality inspection, PLC troubleshooting, creating preventive maintenance plans, electrical schematics, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and troubleshooting industrial automation equipment.
    • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, stretching, reaching, and turning.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a service-oriented approach to team members, vendors, and manufacturers.
    • Valid driver’s license for conducting road services when needed.
