    Job Description

    Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Team Lead will assist in the overall operation of the Summer Camp Program. The major responsibilities of this position include the following but are not limited to:

    Responsibilities

    Follow and uphold all policies and procedures of Pathfinder Ranch

    Assist with personnel orientation, evaluation, scheduling, and supervision

    Maintain accurate program records and logs

    Assist in the evaluation activities and resources on an ongoing basis

    Ensure the security and safety of camp facilities, grounds, and equipment

    Create and coordinate daily and weekly program schedules

    Coordinate with other departments in program planning

    Develop and coordinate camp activities, programs, and events

    Disseminate all pertinent information to assigned employees

    Communicate with the Program Manager all pertinent information in a timely manner ● Inventory and recommend equipment acquisitions as needed

    Provide positive public relations on behalf of Pathfinder Ranch and provide excellent customer service ● Communicate and coordinate with Camper parents/guardians as needed

    Comply with Health and Fire Department regulations, organizational policies, and accreditation standards ● Serve “on call” at least 2 nights a week

    Other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements

    18 years of age or older

    Reside on camp property and be on call during program sessions

    Ability to work cooperatively on diverse teams and with a variety of clients

    Ability to give, accept, and integrate feedback graciously

    Sincere interest and ability to work with children in the outdoors

    Willing and able to complete tasks both independently and collaboratively in a timely and accurate manner ● Proficient with computers and the use of Microsoft Office software

    Skilled at interpersonal communication in a variety of formats

    Able to supervise staff in a supportive and responsive manner that cultivates a positive work community ● Have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle

    Hold or acquire current pediatric and adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications from a nationally recognized provider

    Preferred Qualifications

    Previous work experience within a youth-serving or recreational organization

    Lifeguard and/or Waterfront Lifeguard Certification from a nationally recognized provider ● Bilingual or multilingual

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs.

    Ability to work a varied shift schedule in excess of 10 hours per day

    Ability to traverse several miles per day on steep and uneven terrain in a variety of weather conditions SCTLJD Rev. 1/18/21
