    We are currently seeking an experienced Social Media Copywriter. This is a full-time permanent position with our agency located in Mishawaka, IN and is 100% remote eligible. A Social Media Copywriter at Pathfinders will be responsible for writing copy for brands across a variety of digital and social mediums. They will draw from different skillsets and passions to put themselves in the shoes of the target audience. From beauty and health to automotive and consumer packaged goods, you’d be helping our clients move their businesses forward.

    You are imaginative, creative, and aware of structure and flow. You are a social-native, born with a phone in hand and a passion for all things social media related. The most successful Social Media Copywriter will have the ability to self-edit and be adept at rationalizing every word and presenting that rationale internally and externally.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO, IN GREATER DETAIL:

    • Collaborate with social team colleagues to create engaging, social-first content for internal and external social channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.
    • Interpret project briefs to develop and produce copy approaches that meet objectives
    • Research and understand target audiences, client objectives, and products including, but not limited to, interviews with SMEs, online search, in-person meetings. etc.
    • Edit copy for clarity, brevity, logic, and grammar (while considering the nuances of the social space)
    • Rewrite content as needed based on internal/external constructive criticism
    • Collaborate in developing and managing calendars including, but not limited to, determining cadence, layouts via .ppt, etc.
    • Collaborate with social team colleagues to concept content including, but not limited to, campaigns, monthly, organic and paid, content creator and influencer deliverables, etc.
    • Develop rationale and present copy internally and externally
    • Lead and mentor social colleagues including, but not limited to, helping them understand client brands, sharing industry insights, adapt to “agency life,”, etc.
    • Deliver all asks per the agreed-upon timelines
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and client-related industry trends in digital and social channels
    • Utilize design principles to analyze layouts for effectiveness including, but not limited to, deck layouts, posts, etc.

    WHAT WE’D LIKE TO SEE IN A STRONG CANDIDATE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts or related field
    • 2-10+ years of proven experience as a social content creator; experience working for a marketing agency, or in-house marketing team is preferred and highly valued
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team of diverse personalities
    • Demonstrated ability to direct/manage multiple projects with conflicting priorities
    • Adept at self-editing, ensuring rare spelling and grammar mistakes
    • Experience in the Beauty and Health & Wellness industries is a plus
    • Experience in community management and influencer management a plus
    • Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
    • Understanding of the Adobe Suite (InDesign, etc.)
    • Ability to vary voice, style, and tone of copy based on product and audience
    • Understanding of written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents
    • Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and verbally so others will understand
    • Ability to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources
    • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
    • Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work
    • Self-motivation, commitment, and determination
    • Public speaking skills for an internal or external audience
    • Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines
    • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
    • Understanding of digital and social platforms
    • Understanding of hashtag strategies and fluency in emoji.
    • Understanding of advertising and design principles
    • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload
