Summary
The IT Network/Voice/Security Engineer is under the direction of the Senior Director of Infrastructure Services. The IT Engineer is a highly skilled individual who designs, implements, and supports local and wide area networks, backend voice/video systems, security appliances and network management systems within the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required
Minimum of five (5) years of direct Network Administrator or Network Engineering experience required
At least one elevated professional network systems certification, e.g.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into viable technical solutions
Demonstrable level of competence including:
A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking
A thorough understanding and experience implementing and administering common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
Thorough understanding of common network monitoring and security utilities
Thorough understanding of enterprise wireless networking
Thorough understanding of Voice and Video
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a healthcare related field
Experience working in a multi-national and multicultural environment
Experience in a large enterprise environment

Duties
Conceptualize, design, implement, and maintain company’s computer networks (Cisco Meraki, Cisco ISR, Cisco Nexus), Voice (Cisco Call Manager), Video (Expressway), Security (Cisco ASA, AnyConnect, SourceFire), and Management (Solarwinds) systems
Monitor, maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot company’s Networks, Voice/Video, Security and Management systems to ensure optimal performance and take appropriate action to resolve any issues or make improvements
Oversee technical management of network infrastructure in all Data Centers, in coordination with other Infrastructure Services group members, regional IT staff, and the Senior Director of Infrastructure Services
Coordinate with the Senior Director of Infrastructure Services and the CIO to develop and execute strategic direction for the Network, Voice/Video, Security and Management for the enterprise
Follow internal configuration and change management processes
Create/maintain comprehensive documentation for all infrastructure hardware and software
Assist with feasibility studies, cost analysis, proposals, and solution presentations
Manage and maintain network asset inventory
Maintain appropriate professional certifications
Coordinate national vendor services for corporate and divisional data connectivity, telephony, and cellular products
Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Infrastructure Services
