    SUMMARY:

    The Mobile Therapist performs a variety of job duties under the supervision of the Program Coordinator and clinical direction of the service prescriber via clinical updates and recommendations. Mobile Therapists provide individual and collateral therapy to an individual between the ages of 24 months and twenty-one years. Mobile Therapist provides services in a setting outside the office setting. Therapy sessions may take place in the community or in the client’s school or home. The Mobile Therapist develops and implements an Individualized Treatment Plan (when the lead clinician) with the child and family, identifying and highlighting child, family, educational, social, and recreational strengths as well as areas in which the individual needs improvement. In certain situations, the MT supervises direct care staff.

    JOB DUTIES:

    Provides individual and/or collateral therapy

    Develops individualized treatment plans. Provides clinical supervision of TSS.

    Provides support to parents, teachers, or community officials.

    Provides culturally aware and competent service provision.

    Provides clinical support to direct care staff.

    Teaches skills related to adaptive functioning using least restrictive methods.

    Coordinates clinical information/direction with other professionals and agencies.

    Exchanges information clearly and concisely with the appropriate parties and concerns.

    Completes all paperwork and documentation in accordance with established company policies and procedures and acceptable clinical practices within designated timeframes.

    Accepts cases and works within his/her own educational, training, and competency guidelines to ensure ethical and effective treatment delivery.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    Must possess the education and/or training and experience to provide therapy. Must possess the ability to analyze complex issues and solve them correctly and creatively. Must possess strong communication skills in both a verbal and written format. Must possess the ability to meet established deadlines and schedules.

    Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to the clients and the client’s family.

    Must be organized and efficient.

    Must possess leadership qualities.

    Must be able to demonstrate the ability to assign directives responsibly in a clear, concise manner.

    Must be able to implement corrective action relating to the various work situations when appropriate.

    Must continually review the treatment plan with families to ensure progress is occurring.

    TRAINING:

    Must complete initial training curriculum as per company requirements and guidelines.

    Must complete a minimum of twenty training hours per year thereafter.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master’s Degree (MS or MA) in a mental health field and one (1) year documented paid experience working with children, adolescents or youth • Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background and FBI Clearances must be obtained • Travel is a must so a valid PA Driver’s License is necessary
