    Beverly, Gloucester and Salem sites - 25 hrs. per wk. - 52 wks. per yr.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: In conjunction with the Parent and Community Outreach Manager, and Admissions department, works with staff and community agencies in a team approach to recruit families and ensure the full enrollment of children within the Head Start and Early Head Start programs. This position assists with marketing, community events, advertising, and developing relationships that support family engagement, family recruitment, and community partnerships.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists and represents the program at recruitment initiatives involving public events, parent engagement, or other program promotional activities
    • Helps to recruit parent and community members for involvement within the program
    • Supports Head Start/EHS student recruitment throughout the year by assisting with, creating,  and implementing recruitment plans
    • Responsible for setting up and organizing all materials at promotional events
    • Responsible for tracking and ordering recruitment materials for events

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Associates Degree or certification in a field related to human services, business management, public speaking, marketing, or advertising.
    • Ability to read and write proficiently in English (Bi-Lingual English/ Spanish preferred)
    • Proficient with computers for effective communication and outreach purposes
    • Experience with public speaking and client relations

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Successfully complete a pre- employment physical
    • Pass CORI, SORI, DCF, and fingerprint clearance
    • Possess valid MA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance and acceptable driving record
    • Ability and willingness to travel between centers located in Salem, Beverly and Gloucester and within Essex County communities
    • Able to sit or stand for prolonged periods and lift/carry up to 30 pounds.
