Pathways is seeking dynamic individuals to join our Flagstaff Office in Arizona as a Foster Care Specialist who is responsible for licensing, training, evaluating, monitoring, placement and coordination of activities related to the Foster Care Program.
Traveling in Northern Arizona to provide home based services is required.
JOB DUTIES:
Maintain accurate documentation
Timely completion of mandated paperwork
Maintain productivity standards
Complete all required training
Maintain at least weekly contact with assigned families
Flexibility and ability to manage ever-changing priorities, to meet the urgent requirements of the client/family
Keeps appointments with families on a regular basis
Ability to coordinate and communicate with multiple parties (foster families, clinicians, schools, case managers etc.) in a timely manner
Ability to identify needs and articulate and advocate on behalf of the child
Has working knowledge of licensure and foster care regulations
Ability to identify indicators of physical, emotional and sexual abuse
Effectively use the Electronic Health Record system
Maintain ethical standards, client confidentiality and professional boundaries
Knowledge of community resources and services
Participate as needed in audit preparation
Takes after hours call if needed
Participates in foster family meetings and Child and Family Team meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Psychology or a non-related Bachelor's degree
(1) year of experience with foster care licensing AND behavioral health
OR
An AA degree and two (2) years of experience with foster care licensing AND behavioral health
Must have current fingerprint clearance and be able to pass the background check
Valid Arizona driver’s license and insurance required
Prior behavioral health experience preferred
Bilingual-Spanish/English a plus.
