    Pathways is seeking an innovative and purpose driven individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst III at our Los Alamitos location. This position is full time permanent.

    SummaryResponsible for the production and review of month-end finance reports for County Contracts and Corporate. Tracks units of service and analyzes productivity. Responsible for the development and monitoring of budget and assists assigned programs in A/P, payroll, and all other financial reporting functions. Assist Lead Finance Manager in developing and analyzing Corporate financial reports and assists in the development and maintenance of internal data base.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:· Assists Lead Finance Manager in gathering and organizing financial data from all counties· Works with the Lead Finance Manager in compiling and analyzing financial reports using forecast models for revenue changes and expenditure increases/decreases· Assists in the development and maintenance of internal financial data base using Excel, Access or other appointed software· Prepares financial reports with reliable conclusions that management can use to implement effective operational strategies· Works closely with the Finance Team to familiarize self with varying county requirements· Creates accurate and timely financial reports monthly for assigned County and Management· Reviews G/Ls, identifies discrepancies, and creates timely adjustments for accounting prior to financial statement publication.· Responsible for reconciling all year-end data on units and costs for preparation of the year-end cost reports· Develops and monitors assigned budgets including salaries in conjunction with the Lead Finance Manager· Interfaces with Corporate personnel on matters of HR, A/P, A/R, G/Ls, and financial statements in a timely manner; including review and preliminary approval of all new hires and payroll related changes affecting the budgets· Performing in-services for clinics as needed or as requested for accounting functions and budget revisions· Monitoring of cash receipts and collection efforts with applicable payers, when necessary· Work with internal or external auditors as needed· Works with all billers and billing supervisors to accurately track units of service· Provide timely feedback to program and internal management on monthly and year-end reporting· Perform monthly finance calls with respective programs and ensure completion of the monthly Dashboard and follow up items as necessary· Maintain and monitor monthly variance analysis with applicable explanations· Attend county meetings or other trainings, as required by contractual obligations, use of personal car or vehicle is required· Responsible for training new Program and Regional Directors for assigned region on finance related reports and procedures· Enforces accounting policies and is accountable for taking immediate corrective action to eliminate erroneous allocations or bookings· Maintain and ensures HIPAA, ethical standards and professional boundaries with all staff and clients· Other duties as assigned or necessary to support the department/program, office and/or the companyEducation/Licensing RequirementsEducation and/or Experience:BA Degree in Accounting or Finance and 2-5 years’ experience in detailed financial analysis.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Proof of: valid California driver’s license and auto insurance, as well as proof of education are requiredKnowledge, Skills and Experience:Must have knowledge and experience with all aspects of budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and Federal/State cost guidelines for Medi-CalMust work accurately with numbersKnowledge of accounting systems, data base, and excel computer programs: overall advanced PC skills are requiredExcellent prioritization and organization skills, strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skillsPhysical RequirementsOffice Environment (not remote position). Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking;May be required to lift up to 20 poundsRequires significant use of computer, tablet, phone and/or general office equipment
