    Pathways is seeking an innovative and purpose driven individual to join our team as Program Director for our Wellness Center program South in Lake Forest.

    Wellness Center South

    Wellness Center South (WCS) is a community-based program to support its members in maintaining and improving their recovery from mental illness and/or substance use. Members of the Center must be 18 years or older, reside in Orange County, and are independently engaged in mental health services in the community. WCS offers an array of support groups, classes, and recreational/social activities to support our members’ well-being through four key areas: Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, and Social/Community. WCS is a member-driven program, with an active Member Advisory Board that collaborates with WCS leadership to provide relevant and meaningful programming. WCS is an entirely peer-run program with each member of the staff having “lived experience” with their own recovery.

    SUMMARY

    Responsible for all aspects of the administration and operations of Wellness Center programs including development and adherence to the annual budget. Responsibilities include the hiring, development and performance management of staff and ensuring Wellness Center services are provided in concert with the policies, procedures, and government rules and regulations for the program(s).

    EDUCATION/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

    • High School diploma with five years or more of leadership/management experience.- OR- Bachelor's degree in social service or related field from an accredited college or university with three years or more of leadership/management experience.- OR- Master's degree in social service or related field from an accredited college or university, and two years or more of leadership/management experience.

    Proof of: valid California driver’s license and auto insurance, as well as proof of education are required. Prior behavioral health experience preferred.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    ▪ Responsible for delivery of professional recovery-oriented services and all aspects of the administration and operations of the program.▪ Ensures contractual and administrative compliance with all program activities; while developing and implementing plans to continually meet sustainability.▪ Responsible for ensuring the Quality Assurance, Compliance, and all Audits of the program(s).▪ Supports and facilitates Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement protocols, including frequent collaboration with QA/QI Director and program management in monitoring standards and actively removing barriers to the provision of high quality care.▪ Supervises the delivery of recovery-oriented services within the program, which includes the supervision of the member enrollment and exiting process and completion of appropriate management of member records to ensure documentation meets Company and government standards.▪ Responsible for recruitment/selection process, leadership and professional development, assignment of duties, approval of leave requests and expenses, performance management/reviews and personnel actions, and serving as resource for consultation and/or reviews or recommends merit and promotional salary increases for staff.▪ Develops and presents for approval, annual budget for program, and prepares/provides executive management with periodic financial forecasts and reports as required; prepares financial, budget, statistical and other reports as required by senior management.▪ Ensures program meets fiscal requirements and monitors expenditures and revenue production.▪ Leads and actively participates in planning, management, administrative, staff and member meetings, classes, groups, and training activities.▪ Communicates and coordinates services with other departments and vendors as applicable.▪ Responsible for all licensure and certifications as required by staff and programs to effectively and legally conduct business operations.▪ Promotes services and training activities in the community including presentations and consultations.▪ Develops and maintains a collaborative relationship with state and/or county/community officials.▪ Participates and represents agency or the Company professionally at county/community meetings.▪ Ensures program(s) are operating according to the Company’s policies and procedures, applicable professional standards, laws, rules and regulations.▪ Consults with peer staff on curriculum and programming as required, and may participate in emergency situations and crisis intervention.▪ Responsible for ensuring and understanding the administrative functioning of his/her programs.▪ Will work a flexible schedule outside of business hours, weekends and available beyond office work hours should the need arise or to support the program(s) and leadership; including weekends if necessary.

    ▪ Attends and participates in meetings as directed by Regional Director.▪ Ensure compliance and contractual obligations are met; provides on-site training to support staff in meeting workload requirements.▪ Report program concerns, as outlined in policy and procedures, in a timely manner to the Clinical and/or Regional Director and assist in disseminating information to and from the staff.▪ Assures that management decisions are implemented in a positive and timely manner.▪ May participate in the development and review of RFPs, RFIs, grants, and/or RFQs.▪ Completes monthly, quarterly, and all other reports in a timely manner.▪ Maintain and ensures HIPAA, ethical standards/code of conduct and professional boundaries with all staff, peers and members; provides on-site supervision and training to ensure standards are met.▪ Commitment to the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values; representing actions that defines the overall philosophy and objectives of all duties performed in accordance with Company’s mission, vision, and value. Ability to interpret and expect the same with all staff.▪ Other duties as assigned or necessary to support the program and/or the company.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    Program Director I

    • Prefer one year of experience in management level positions in mental health services/recovery-oriented programs or several years in a lead position with a program providing recovery-oriented care and knowledge regarding The Recovery Model.• Must have a history of being a consumer of mental health services OR a professional that may not have a history of being a consumer of services but has lived experience (i.e. living with relative, significant other, or other support person who is a consumer of mental health services).• Must have experience in interviewing support and professional staff and providing budget input.• Intermediate PC Skills required.• Ability to work flexible schedule on-site, weekends and a modified schedule if needed to meet the needs to the Program.• Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills and communication skills are a must.• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.

    Program Director II

    • Three plus years’ of experience in management level positions in mental health services/recovery-oriented programs with responsibility for staffing, budgeting and professional delivery of services. Experience in implementing and maintaining the vision and principles of The Recovery Model.• Must have a history of being a consumer of mental health services OR a professional that may not have a history of being a consumer of services but has lived experience (i.e. living with relative, significant other, or other support person who is a consumer of mental health services).• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead and direct work of others, excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Intermediate PC skills required.• Prefer experience with Electronic Health Record system.• Ability to work flexible schedule on-site, weekends and a modified schedule if needed to meet the needs to the Program.• Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills and communication skills are a must.• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.
