Opportunity Knocks
Opportunity Knocks is a volunteer mental health program providing outpatient services for individuals between the ages of 18-59, with severe and persistent mental illness, recent history of incarceration due to mental illness, and are currently homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our services include intensive case management, psychotherapy, skill-development groups, medication management, vocational linkage, temporary housing support, benefits processing, and outreach and engagement.
Summary
The Clinical Manager is responsible for the management of personnel, services, and Clinical and Program operations related to the team assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Maintain timely and accurate clinical and personnel documentation
Timely and accurate completion of mandated paperwork
Maintain productivity standards
Timely and consistent completion of all required training
Flexibility and ability to manage ever-changing priorities
Coordinate and communicate with multiple parties in a timely manner
Conduct assessments, crisis intervention, individual and family services
Develop a working relationship with out of home service providers, such as psychiatric hospitals and as a liaison between providers and clinical staff. She/he will collaborate with the Utilization Management/Quality Management Department to meet RBHA deadlines
Effectively use the Electronic Health Record system and monitor reports
Maintain ethical standards and professional boundaries
Identify and work with staff’s strengths and weaknesses
Hire, train and supervise staff
Monitor reports and various compliance standards
Provide culturally relevant and trauma informed services
Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethical provision of services and conduct
Participate on committees
Create personal and team goals and program development

EDUCATION/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or relative field, or Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited college or university
Must be a licensed LCSW, MFT or licensed by the appropriate Board as a Clinical Psychologist to practice independently at the highest level possible. Licensed for two years preferred
Supervisory experience required.
Must have current fingerprint clearance (and maintain during employment) and be able to pass the background check.
Valid California driver’s license as well as proof of education are required.
Prior behavioral health experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time
Computer knowledge and skills (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Ability to work flexible schedule
Ability to work with diverse population
Ability to participate/facilitate the CFT and ART process, develop crisis plans, SNCD and coordinate and implement services
Ability to provide therapeutic services and carry a small caseload as/if needed
Ability to coach others and provide disciplinary action
