    HUMAN RESOURCES Assistant:

    SummaryUnder general supervision, assists in the administrations of various Human Resource programs / initatives, including HR administration duties and special projects. Supports the HR Team in maintaining personnel files / record maintenance, audits, I9s, and records retention policy, procedures and practices. Assist with the Information System / Databases, preparing employee training materials, new hire material or documents, reports, payroll data, and other HR services. Responsible for assisting Human Resources department with administrative duties. Communicates company human resources postings, policies and procedures, and interacts with other human resources related staff.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities • Assist HR Director and HR Business Partners • Maintain and audit employee personnel files, filing, and maintain records retention to company standards• Furnishes required background checks, verification, and reference information about active candidates and terminated employees • Assist in processing all hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and other personnel paperwork, ensuring accurate data and confidentiality in compliance with all legal requirements• Acts as custodian of records, protecting confidentiality of records and eFiles, and releasing information only to individuals with legitimate need-to-know inquiries, and proper authorization• Responsible for employee files and eFile audits; and acts as system administrator for computerized database of employee records. • Prepares reports and statistical summaries from the records, including census, turnover, and salary data • Ensuring programs have up to date employment postings• Notifies managers of pending performance reviews and monitors follow-through. Tracks and follows-up on missing paperwork and late reviews• Accurately inputs, computes, and retrieves data and prepares reports utilizing knowledge of various software programs; including audits of various reports to ensure integrity and accuracy • Answers general Human Resources related questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and records information• Work closely with Human Resource staff to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered• Researches special projects and handles special projects• Provide the best customer care possible, including reliability in working scheduled hours• Identify and build upon the strengths of consumers, coworkers, and the communities we serve• Other duties as assigned or necessary to support the employees, HR team, programs and the company.

    Education/Licensing Requirements:• High School diploma and/or B.A. in related field plus one year HR experience• Office Environment experience a plus

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • Must have planning and organizing skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. • Must show strong initiative, good judgment, and ability to take appropriate action when necessary. • Must have strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and interface effectively with all levels of staff• Must have intermediate PC skills to format reports, presentations, spreadsheets, graphics, general word processing etc.• Ability to work independently and to handle multiple projects

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS (not a remote position)OE - Typical Office Environment: (Administrative / Administration Assistant) / Indoor• Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking. Not a remote or working from home position• 30% of time spent on PC• May be required to lift up to 20 pounds• Requires significant use of personal computer, phone and general office equipment• Needs adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects • Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone

    Decision Making ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates ability to assess situations, considers alternatives, and chooses the appropriate course of action. Timely notification to manager of either emerging situations or those is requiring follow-up attention. Endeavors to resolve non-complex human resource related problems as appropriate.

    Pay Range: $13.00 to $15.00 hourly, DOE
