SUMMARY
Youth Interventionist staff work closely with staff, students and families to foster a transformative learning environment. This environment is achieved through teaching students the necessary academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to be successful in their homes, community and various educational settings
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree
3 years' minimum experience working with at-risk youth
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree
5 years' experience working with at risk youth
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides daily support to staff and students in a professional manner
Demonstrate effective student de-escalation skills in accordance with the Restorative Practices framework
Communicate with staff, students and families from a trauma-informed perspective
Appropriate collaborative support and implementation of teaching lesson pans
Ability to build rapport and professional transformative relationships with students, staff and families
Ability to carry out daily and special task/duties as needed and to satisfactory completion
Ability to facilitate/participate daily restorative circles, topic oriented group discussions and workshops
Ability to effectively support students and teachers through push-in, pull-o t as needed
Ability to complete actionable weekly student reports
Ability to develop and implement weekly schedules
Ability to collaborate with school administration and other stakeholders to relate actionable Individual service plans
Adhere to all PHI, FERPA and HIPAA requirements
Use tact and discretion with sensitive student/family issues
Willingness to report to assigned post on time daily
Participation in daily team huddles and weekly staff meetings
Prompt reporting any instances of child abuse and/or neglect
Complete all required trainings and professional developments course by d e date
Participate in annual CPI training or fresher course
Complete all new hire orientation requirements
Participate in all annual summer academy training session
Respond to all business communication within 24 hours
Provide staff training in ISAP methodology as needed
