    The Respite Care Provider is responsible for maintaining functions within the scope of practice as established by OPTUM to provide mental health services (OPTUM’s guidelines, and regulations) to provide short-term/temporary care for youth w/SED provided in the least restrictive environment that provides relief for caretaker and is aimed at de-escalation of stressful situations.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must be at least 21 years of age

    High School diploma

    Complete e-training

    Experience with youth experiencing SED and their families

    First-Aid and CPR training

    Maintenance- monthly one-on-one supervision, additional group supervision recommended, feedback on performance, 4 hours of CEU related to respite and approved by supervisor.

    Must have current fingerprint clearance (and maintain during employment) and be able to pass the background check.

    Preferred degree in a behavioral health field. Must pass a criminal background check conducted by the DHW
