    We are currently looking for a Full-Time Patient Access Coordinator to join our Hospital Outpatient Department.

    As the Patient Access Coordinator, you will interface with patients and families, physicians and staff. This will entail a variety of tasks including:

    • Admit patients and process their paperwork.
    • Enter patient demographics/information in system.
    • Collect monies due and document in billing system. Handle funds per office procedure.
    • Explain insurance benefits to patients.
    • Authorized to access medication storage areas for the purpose of performing patient registration, clerical functions, and other related duties as assigned.
    • Floats to different patient access areas as needed or as assigned.

    Required Skills

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • CPR certified within 90 days from DOH.
    • One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
    • Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
    • Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
    • Good communication skills and interpersonal relation skills.
    • Must use independent judgment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
    • Requires good time management skills.

    Required Experience
