  • Responsibilities

    BASIC FUNCTION

    Responsible for contacting scheduled patients in accordance with registration and scheduling guidelines. Verify information, exam preparations, and check-in time.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Contacts customers in a polite and helpful manner and collects all pertinent information.
    • Verifies customer demographics as required. Updates information in RisLinq and informs customer of estimated insurance co-pay/deductible amount due.
    • Maintains a pleasant and professional telephone etiquette and deals with customer needs expeditiously.
    • Supplements scheduling as needed.
    • Keeps work area neat and clean.

    Wage Range: $23 to $24 Hourly

    Required Skills

    1. Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.
    2. Knowledge of medical terminology
    3. Knowledge of scheduling tasks, office policies/procedures, and proper completion of all required documents.
    4. Working knowledge on use of telephone and computer.
    5. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and on the telephone to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, physicians, staff, and other customers.
    6. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks.
    7. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and/or written instructions.
