    Position Overview

    We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Patient Advocate to join our front office team. As a key first point of contact for our patients, the Patient Advocate plays a vital role in delivering a welcoming and efficient experience—from check-in to check-out. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient-centered service.

    Key Responsibilities

    Greet patients in person and by phone with professionalism and warmth

    Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using our EMR system

    Check patients in and out, verifying demographics and insurance information

    Collect co-pays and other payments as needed; provide receipts and documentation

    Assist patients with paperwork and answer questions about clinic procedures

    Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth patient flow

    Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and clinic policy

    Support care coordination and follow-up activities as directed by the provider or care team

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate’s or medical office training (preferred)

    Previous front desk or customer service experience in a medical setting strongly preferred

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    Proficiency with computers and ability to learn electronic medical records (EMR) systems

    Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain a calm, positive demeanor

    Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required
