    Parkway Surgery Center is looking for a Patient Care Tech - PRN

    Parkway Surgery Center is a fast-paced, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

    What You Will Do (Job Summary)

    A Patient Care Tech provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists patients in PreOp and PostOp. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Other duties as needed.

    Monday-Friday work schedule

    NO call required

    NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

    Required Skills

    High School Diploma or GED

    Medical Assistant or clinical training preferred

    CNA, MA or other certifications preferred.
    1+ year experience in a patient care role
    Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
    Patient Interviewing skills
    Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
    Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
    Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
    Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
    Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation

    Current CPR or BLS accredited by AHA

    Required Experience

  • Qualifications

    High School Diploma or GED

    Medical Assistant or clinical training preferred
