    Job Summary
    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist in delivering high-quality patient care within a clinical or hospital setting. This role is critical in ensuring that patients receive the attention and care they need during their treatment process, particularly in environments such as a Level I or Level II trauma center, PICU, OR, or medical-surgical units.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist nursing staff with patient care tasks including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
    • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
    • Support patients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
    • Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures or examinations as directed by healthcare professionals.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide updates on patient status.
    • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
    • Participate in training sessions and continuing education to enhance skills relevant to clinic operations and emergency medicine.

    Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 22:30)

    Manager will consider a CNA, however need to have experience in OR setting with required skills.

    • Community Hospital Experience:Preferred
    • LTAC Experience:Preferred
    • Trauma Level I Experience:Preferred
    • Trauma Level II Experience:Preferred
    • CertficationsBLS
    • Locals Accepted : Yes; Considered "local" within 50 mile radius, will accept locals at the same rate

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician preferred.
    • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is highly desirable, particularly in areas such as geriatrics, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or trauma care.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
    • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and compassion.
    • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to patient care.
    • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods and lifting patients when necessary.
    • Familiarity with medical-surgical practices is an advantage; experience in PICU or OR settings is also beneficial.
