About the Role:

RVA Children's Dentistry PC is looking for a compassionate and organized Patient Care and Insurance Coordinator to join our growing team in Glen Allen, VA! In this vital front-office role, you'll be the welcoming face of our practice — helping families navigate their dental care experience while ensuring seamless insurance and administrative processes. Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients and families, creating a warm and welcoming front-desk experience

Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments to optimize daily workflow

Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage prior to patient visits

Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims and handle billing inquiries

Collect co-pays, explain treatment costs, and assist families with payment plan options

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the practice management system

Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office

Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Requirements:

Prior experience in a dental or medical front office, patient coordination, or insurance billing role preferred

Working knowledge of dental insurance verification, claims submission, and EOBs

Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy office environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with children and parents

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in billing and patient records

Positive, patient, and professional demeanor at all times
