    Job Summary:

    A Patient Coordinator interacts with physician offices, workers comp carriers, and patients, as

    well as company personnel, to facilitate the smooth flow and documentation of information

    during the intake and processing of DME patients. The position also coordinates shipping of

    DME equipment and preparing equipment for patient use.

    This position is on-site office work.

    Essential duties/responsibilities:

    · Verification of current workers comp benefits coverage.

    · Accurate and timely Maintenance and updating of insurance benefits coverage, ordering

    · physician, diagnosis, and other pertinent information for current patients on an ongoing

    · basis.

    · Answering telephones, interacting with the patients, receiving orders from referral

    · sources and tracking new referrals while providing exceptional customer service.

    · Complete all patient information timely and accurately.

    · Comply with company policies and assist with quality improvement data and quality

    · program to meet Company and accreditation standards.

    · Acquiring working knowledge of DME products and services offered by the Company

    · and applicable insurance coverage criteria for reimbursement.

    · Monitor and record patient, physician, attorney, and referral source communications

    · timely and accurately.

    · Obtain authorization from insurance companies and Third-Party administrators when

    · necessary

    · Prepare all paperwork for the billing process and communicate with appropriate dept.

    · Interact with Virtual and (infrequent) walk-in customers, providing exceptional customer

    · service.

    · Inventory management of DME equipment and Accessories.

    • Rental management of equipment

    • Prepare and ship equipment

    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

    Qualifications/Specific Requirements:

    · High school diploma or equivalent required, 2- 4-year college degree preferred

    · Efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

    · Brightree/My Forms knowledge (preferred, but not required)

    · Being able to work in a fast-paced environment

    · Excellent oral and written communication skills

    · Intake experience Preferred

    · Excellent customer service skills

    · Excellent detail orientation

    · Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team

    · Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
