    About the Role:

    Northland Family Care in Kansas City, MO is looking for a friendly and dedicated Patient Services Representative to be the welcoming face of our practice.     Responsibilities:

    Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner at the front desk

    Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software

    Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays and patient payments

    Accurately enter and update patient demographic and insurance information in the EHR system

    Answer and route incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and relay messages to clinical staff

    Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

    File electronic faxes into the EHR

    Requirements:

    High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or medical office certification preferred

    1+ year of experience in a medical office, healthcare, or customer service setting

    Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical billing or insurance verification

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude

    Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment

    Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy standards

    Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
