UBMD Primary Care is seeking a full‑time Patient Services Representative (PSR) for our busy multi‑specialty outpatient clinic in the Conventus Medical Office Building at 1001 Main Street in Buffalo. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:30 am–5:30 pm, with one Thursday evening shift (11:30 am–8:00 pm) per month on rotation.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, check‑in/check‑out, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, copay collection and reporting, and general customer service and office tasks. Candidates should have 1–2 years of medical office experience, strong communication and multi‑tasking skills, and proficiency with EMR and Healthenet systems.
Pay range is $17.00-$19.00/hour. Any offer of employment is contingent upon successful background check and drug screen. AA/EOE

Job Summary:
****The Patient Services Representative (PSR) performs administrative duties for the office including scheduling patient appointments, greeting patients, handling heavy call volume, collecting copays as well as greeting vendors and other visitors in the reception area of the clinic.
Essential Functions:
Schedules and confirms patient appointments.
Other Functions:
Qualifications:
Education : High School diploma or GED, Associate’s degree preferred.
Experience : One (1) to two (2) years’ experience working in medical reception and/or customer service, preferable in a clinic setting. Experience in electronic medical records strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of various insurances and procedure codes helpful. Excellent communication skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs preferred.
