    Patriot Fleet Services is the leading provider of onsite mobile maintenance and repair services in New England.

    Patriot Fleet Services is currently hiring a Mobile Technician that will be responsible for performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, and general repairs. A Mobile Technician will be expected to perform basic computer diagnosis, repairs to mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems and other duties as assigned. The Mobile Technician can perform more advanced diagnostics and repairs under the supervision of a Lead Technician or higher.

    Duties:

    · Identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information. Use sound judgment to generate and evaluate solutions with minimal supervision.

    · Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (“PM”) and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile field environment.

    · Perform diagnostics, adjustments, and repairs on various types of truck equipment including but not limited to electrical lighting, brake systems, refrigeration systems, power steering systems, small engines, both gas and diesel.

    · Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment. Identify malfunctions using test instruments such as a diagnostic computer, pressure gauge and multimeter.

    · Road test various vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and to assess the condition.

    · Maintain and operate company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections of vehicle.

    · Independently manage parts inventory, supplies and equipment. Perform periodic reconciliation of company equipment and inventory.

    · Work effectively with clients and customers to assess their needs. Communicate information professionally to customers both orally and through written mediums. Provide assistance to resolve customer problems and satisfying their expectations.

    · Manage concurrent assigned tasks, make effective judgments to prioritize work related activities and time allocations.

    · Use hand tools, power tools, precision instruments and lifting equipment.

    · Accurately report work performed, parts used, and all findings observed on Service Orders using computerized maintenance management system.

    · Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.

    · Work with a high degree of independence and manage your own daily schedule.

    · Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to established repair times.

    · Obtain parts from approved vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed.

    · Communicate with management and the support team to obtain approvals on estimates, purchase order numbers and discuss Service Orders.

    · Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.

    Requirements:

    · High School Diploma or GED.

    · Must have a valid driver’s license and meet Patriot Fleet Services minimum driving qualification standards.

    · Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.

    · Possess a set of tools necessary to perform required job duties.

    · Minimum of 3 years of experience as Diesel Technician on medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.

    · Must be at least 21 years or older.

    · Communicate in English both written and orally.
